An upper-level ridge and high-pressure are forecasted to move into the Pacific Northwest, beginning on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and continuing through Friday, February 28, 2025. This pattern is expected to result in partly to mostly sunny skies and warm afternoons across the region.

With 850 mb temperatures around 10°C (~50°F) and 1000-500mb thickness ranging between 5460m and 5580m, daytime highs across the Willamette Valley are expected to reach the upper 50s to near 60°F on Wednesday and Thursday. Some locations, particularly from Portland south, could see temperatures climb into the low 60s on Friday.

As we approach the next weekend, an upper-level trough associated with our next weather system is expected to move into the area. This will bring daytime highs back to more seasonable temperatures.
